Trauma, ER Centre to be Established at Police hospital


Karachi: Steps are being taken for the establishment of a trauma, emergency centre and blood bank at the Sindh Police Hospital. A spokesman of the Sindh Police here stated this on May 20 Monday. He informed that the Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shahid Nadeem Baloch, said this during a visit to the hospital.

The IGP was told that medical, surgery, gynaecological, women’s diseases and eye treatment were currently being offered to the patients at the 62-bed hospital. Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Younus Chachar said that at least 350 patients visited the OPD and around 30 patients admitted in a day, while the staff at the hospital consists of 38 doctors and 121 paramedics.
