Flying Doctors on Standby for Emergencies in Japan

Saga: A turboprop is on standby at Saga Airport here to fly doctors to disaster sites anywhere in Japan or across Asia at a moment\'s notice.

Modeled somewhat on the \"flying doctors\" service that operates in the vast Australian Outback, the “Flying Emergency Team with Doctors” is the brainchild of the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Japan (A-PAD Japan), a nonprofit organization based in this southwestern prefectural capital.
