Dubai: Time will come when even schoolchildren in Dubai will know how to go about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with the aid of a pocket-sized gadget equipped with the latest technology.
This is so as the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has partnered with a leading private company provider of medical equipment in the Middle East, in training all the medical staff of the 186 private and public schools in the emirate on the precise usage of the device.
DHA has purchased the CPR devices, which will be distributed free of cost among all the 156 private and 30 public schools, whose nurses and doctors are to be trained by the gadget provider, Leader Healthcare.
DHA director-general Eng Essa Al Maidoor said the training was part of the ongoing school health and safety programmes across Dubai on handling emergencies |
