Aizawl: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India and Mizoram State Disaster Management Authority, on March 13 yesterday, organised the second phase of mega mock drill involving five North Eastern states at several places in Aizawl.
Several government departments, NGOs, schools and hospitals took part in the exercise and rendered their service as well. The occurrence of violent earthquake was informed to District Emergency Operation Centre after it was being initially informed to Responsible Officer Aizawl DC Dr Franklin Laltinkhuma.
Casualties were sent to Aizawl Civil Hospital, Kulikawn Hospital, BN Hospital, New Life Hospital, Greenwood Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital, Durtlang, Bethesda and Nazareth Hospital for first aid treatment. |
