Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Indonesia (KOMINFO) and Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) will launch a 3-digit emergency phone line and 4-digit SMS gateway to make it easier for the public to contact the authorities.
Both agencies aim to enhance citizen participation in disaster management and preparedness through this move, announced KOMINFO last month.
