Nagpur: The cultural festival of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Aarohi, kick started this weekend with a cycle rally. Organised with the help of Wockhardt Hospitals, this year's rally raised awareness about medical emergencies.
More than 200 students of the college participated in the rally which was flagged off by dean of students' welfare GP Singh and professor YB Katpatal from the civil engineering department. It started at Wockhardt Hospitals, Shankar Nagar where the students performed a street play about the emergency services and emergency contact numbers.
The rally of students covered the major hotspots of the city on their cycles propagating safe driving and spreading the awareness about emergency services available at disposal. The rally concluded successfully at VNIT's Bajaj Nagar gate. |
