Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Fire Brigade, popularly known as Juddha Barun Yantra, is planning to run ambulances in the capital. Officials at the brigade said they have submitted a proposal to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) seeking permission for running ambulance service.
"We have submitted a proposal to KMC officials. They seemed positive toward our proposal," Kishor Kumar Bhattarai, chief of brigade, said. He said that the brigade´s proposal would not create extra burden on the metropolis, as it already has over two dozen advanced ambulances including hospital ambulances. The metropolis got those ambulances in donation from neighboring countries. |
