CPEIC Needs Around 120 Staffers to Run New Emergency Bloc


Multan: Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi Institute of Cardiology (CPEIC) desperately needs at least 120 staffers to run Usman Bloc, a newly built emergency, for facilitating cardiac patients. Medical Superintendent CPEIC, Dr Syed Mukhtar Shah, told APP on December 03 Tuesday that they needed doctors, nurses, paramedics, technicians and ward servants to run the new bloc.

Built by donation from philanthropists, 72 staff nurses are required for the new unit as to every bed there should be a nurse to tend a patient, he said, adding that without staff, it was impossible to run the facility. About the expansion of emergency, he said that it would be of 54 beds for which they needed separate staff.
