Baguio: Volunteer rescue group 911 On Call recently showed to the Baguio City Government that equipment often considered as junk can still be used if only given a little tinkering.
The volunteer group showed the newly refurbished towing truck and ambulance of the City Government during City Hall’s flag raising program on August 5 Monday. The truck will be used by 911 On Call in its various rescue and emergency response activities.
Dr. Manuel Quirino said the vehicles will now be used in disaster response, especially in clearing operations in vehicular accidents, while the ambulance will be used for various rescue and emergency response activities of the volunteer group. |
