Guwahati: The state health and education minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, on July 28 Sunday announced that an apex trauma care centre equipped with all sophisticated instruments will be set up in the state. The 200-bed trauma centre will cater 24-hour emergency service to patients.
The centre will be set up in one of the government hospitals and will operate under Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The department has not yet decided the hospital where the trauma care centre will come up. |
