Khattak Calls for Measures to End Shortage of Doctors, Paramedics

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed the concerned authorities to take necessary measures on war footings to make up the deficiencies of doctors, nurses, other paramedical staff, medicines and medical equipments in public sector hospitals and to work on the establishments of model emergencies in these health services outlets.

He has also directed the quarters concerned to end the practice of the transfers of teachers in government schools and to evolve such a mechanism in which a teacher will be appointed in a school, promoted on the basis of better performance and will not be transferred to any other school throughout his/her career. He issued these directives while chairing a meeting of the administrative secretaries of all government departments at his office on July 24 Wednesday in which the chief minister was apprised of the progress and implementation status of his directives issued during the last two months regarding change and reforms in various departments.
