Guwahati: The Assam government launched 75 more ambulances on 7 June under the Mrityunjoy-108 ambulance service to help reduce the minimum emergency response time by around 30 per cent.
\r\nLaunching the ambulances, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said with the new fleet on the road the service will get a new lease of life. He said chronic mechanical problems of the ambulances had sounded a \"death knell\" to the service 2 years ago. |
