Dehradun: In what could be termed as a major boost to search and rescue capabilities of agencies concerned in Uttarakhand, the disaster management department is planning to procure high-power portable inflatable emergency lights to be positioned in the districts. \r\nAccording to the plan, two inflatable emergency lights will be given to each tehsil, block and police station in the whole state. In case of a power failure during disasters, which generally is the case, these lights are going to aid in rescue and relief efforts, especially during the night. |
