Healthcare Sector in Delhi to Undergo Major Facelift, Enhance CAT by 100 BLS and 10 ALS Ambulances


Delhi: With a significant emphasis on upgrading Delhi’s healthcare facilities, the AAP government on Thursday(June 25) almost doubled the Budget allocation for health, and earmarked Rs 4,787 crore for the sector, including plans to set up three new hospitals, establishing 500 “mohalla clinics” and an advanced trauma centre at L.N.J.P. Hospital.

The city government will set up 35 units on PPP basis to provide free dialysis to poor patients suffering from kidney failure. The existing fleet of CAT ambulances is proposed to be enhanced by 100 basic and 10 advanced standard life support ambulances, again under PPP.
