ANGELS Becomes Operational


Kochi: With an aim of providing ambulance service in 3 minutes of a call to 102, the centralised network of ambulance under Active Network Group of Emergency Life Savers (ANGELS) has begun operation at the District General Hospital. District Collector MG Rajamanickam inaugurated the office of ANGELS at the old pay ward section of the hospital on Tuesday(June 23).

The new system would have trained drivers and better equipped ambulances to handle road accidents. In many road accidents. The ambulance service works with the GPS system connecting various ambulances in the district. ANGELS will also be part of the Rapid Action Kerala for Safe Hospital Access (RAKSHA) which will be another project of the District administration.
