Tackling Calamities in Remote Areas of Gujarat to Get Easier


Vadodara: City-based emergency response center (ERC) that will be rendering emergency services to seven districts in central Gujarat region will become operational soon. It is the fifth ERC in the state and will have hi-tech rescue equipment for immediate rescue operations during the time of natural or man-made calamities.

The ERC will have a fleet of 18 vehicles for emergency requirements. The vehicles include multi-functional rescue vehicle (MFRV), water bowser, foam nurser, high capacity pump, medical mass casualty container (MMCC), mini rescue van, urban search and rescue container and mini fire tender. The ERC at Vadodara will also provide emergency services to Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, ChhotaUdepur, Dahod, Panchmahal and Kheda.
