Bengaluru: Taking a cue from the state government’s bike ambulance project, Brookefield Hospital launched its bike ambulance service called ‘BEAST’ on Wednesday (June 03). \r\nA team of 2 trained nursing staff are on the job. On receiving an emergency call, the staff will leave with the customised two-wheeler that is equipped with oxygen cylinder, medical equipment and medicines. The project was launched on a pilot basis at a cost of `10 lakh. ‘BEAST’ team is equipped with a SmartRx app through which the past medical history and present treatment can be accessed. The pre-fed GPRS guides the team to the patient’s residence.
