Shanghai: The Songjiang District Medical Emergency Center is the first in the city to establish a pre-hospital trauma evaluation system, officials told a hospital development forum 29 January. The system was developed in cooperation with hospitals in its region and will ensure emergency patients are treated quicker and more effectively. \r\n
Under the system, ambulance doctors can contact hospitals about a patient’s medical history and the hospital headquarters can call appropriate doctors to the emergency ward in time. Previously, experts were not called until emergency doctors had checked a patient.
