Japan Providing Emergency Vehicles for Yolanda-hit Areas


Japan is turning over emergency vehicles to the Bureau of Fire Protection, for use in areas hit by super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).The Japanese Embassy said the project was funded through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects.

\"With these vehicles, Japan wishes to contribute to the fast recovery and rehabilitation of the beneficiary-municipalities as well as equipped them with the necessary facilities that will provide immediate response during catastrophe,\" the embassy said.
