Singapore’s healthcare system is one of the best in the world, but waiting times at the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department in hospitals are still a sore point.A shorter wait for specialists and doctors would result in prompt diagnosis and treatment, and reduce unnecessary anxiety and frustration in patients and their families.
If a few polyclinics were selected to operate as day and night clinics, it would lessen the load as patients could then be channelled to them. |
