In the wake of June 12th abduction of 3 teenagers in Judea, where false alarms played a part in the lack of a quick response by authorities, Member of Knesset Nissan Slomianski (Jewish Home) talked to Arutz Sheva on June 29 about his bill, which would fine people 10,000 shekels for wilfully placing a phony emergency call to police or emergency services. He stressed that one should not infer from his proposal that such a call was involved in the kidnapping, although it was possible. |
