New Delhi: The majority of patients arriving at AIIMS Trauma Center, the apex body for emergency care in the country, are brought in auto-rickshaws, not ambulances or even PCR vans. The chilling fact, emerging from an analysis of patient data, shows even the critically-ill fail to receive basic life support in the capital city, which reports more than 10,000 road accident deaths every year. |
